The Hemodialysis section of the North General Hospital in barangay Talamban sustained damage after fire broke early Friday morning.
Fire investigators estimate P100,000 structural damage. SFO3 Roylin Maratas said the estimate does yet include damage to hospital equipment.
Fire alarm was by the Talamban Fire Station at 5:45 a.m. Responding fire fighters put the fire under control at 6:05 a.m.
Maratas said fire trucks from Talamban, Mabolo and Pahina fire stations responded to the site along with volunteers from Eruf and the Filipino-Chinese Fire brigade.
The cause of fire is still being looked into. Maratas said they will hand over the formal invitation for the witnesses of the fire incident to the fire station for further investigation.
