From distributing folding fans to posting tarpaulin banners  in public places, police have found another way to get the public more involved in tracking down wanted persons.

Cebu City police yesterday distributed bookmarks bearing the names and faces of wanted criminals as well as the police hotline numbers.

Chief Insp. Enrique Belciña, chief of the Police Community Relations (PCR), led the distribution of the bookmarks to students of the Cebu Normal University and Asian College of Technology (ACT) and shoppers at the Metro Colon.

Last month, police distributed folding fans bearing the names and faces of wanted criminals to bus passengers. Weeks later, police started posting tarpaulin banners.

Belciña said other police units in the city will also distribute the bookmarks.

He said this is one  strategy  to tap   public cooperation in running after wanted persons.

Aside from distributing bookmarks, the Police Regional Office in Central Visayas (PRO-7) also distributed relief goods to Yolanda victims staying in the Tent City at the South Road Properties (SRP).
