Cebu City, Philippines—Batches 2015 and 2000 will duke it out in the finals of the 2019 SHAABAA Summer League Bad Boys Wingz Cup in spite getting contrasting results during the final day of the semifinal round on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City.

2015 clobbered 2013, 64-51, while 2000 got clipped by 2003, 65-67, that resulted in a triple tie between 2015, 2000 and 2003 after all three teams finished with similar 2-1 win-loss records.

However, a computation of their goal differential resulted in 2015 and 2000 emerging as the finalists that will compete in a best-of-three series starting with Game 1 on Friday, May 10, 2019, at the same venue.

Anton Chua and Irvin Dumol led 2015’s balanced attack with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

Three others scored between eight and nine points as 2015 thoroughly dominated 2013 from start to finish.

In the other game, Daryle Tan sank the game-winning bucket with 41 seconds left off a nice assist from Moncrief Rogado to lift 2003 to the tough win over 2000. Tan finished with 19 points, 10 rebounds and four assists, Jan Jaca added 16 while Carlo Alerta added 12 for the victorious side.

Serg Go Bui had 20 points and 13 rebounds for 2000, which in spite of the lose, will be moving on to the finals. Joevince Canizares had 18 points and 18 boards. /bmjo
