Two nabbed with P2M worth of illegal drugs in Labangon

Cebu City, Philippines—Two persons, including an 18-year-old girl, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Sitio Bliss, Barangay Labangon here on early Wednesday morning, May 15, 2019.

Headed by Police Major Keith Allen Andaya, members of the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Punta Police Station (Station 10) nabbed 18-year-old Claire Villahermosa and 20-year-old Joshua Barba for possession of illegal drugs. 

Villahermosa is a resident of A. Lopez Street in Barangay Labangon while Barba is from Salvador Street of the same village.

Seized from the two were packets of suspected shabu that weighed a total of 315 grams, with a street value of around P2.1 million.

According to Andaya, Villahermosa is the alleged girlfriend of a drug suspect who they arrested earlier. The police believe she is the one tasked to continue the illegal activities of her boyfriend who is in prison.  /bmjo
