FedEx and SafeKids bring Young Road Safety program to Cebu

FedEx Express a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. and the world’s largest express transportation company, and Safe Kids Philippines has recently launched its Young Road Safety Champion (YRSC) program in Cebu.

The YRSC program is a pedestrian safety program. Grade 6 students of different schools undergo sessions on pedestrian safety which FedEx and Safe Kids volunteer employees conducts.

The students volunteers will then engage their schoolmates in peer-to-peer sessions to instruct them about pedestrian and road safety.

This program has been successfully conducted in Pasay, Quenzon City, Paranaque, Angeles in Pampanga, and now in Cebu City.

The program is FedEx and Safe Kids way of giving back to the communities and improve road safety conditions.

YRSC program aims to reach 60,000 students from 50 beneficiary schools.
