Cebu will host the open discussions segment of the World Economic Forum (WEF) called the Open Collaboration of East Asia New Champions (OCEAN) Summit.

The summit will draw 200 leaders from private and public sectors at the Movenpick Resort and Spa from May 23 to 25. It is a community-level takeoff of the main WEF to be held in Makati Shangri-La Hotel on May 22 to 23.

Cebu Gov. Hilario Davide III said this will be Cebu’s opportunity to talk to other leaders in other member countries of WEF and show them what the province can offer in terms of positive changes that can impact on the community.

About 150 local leaders will also be invited to the event.
