Blow to the head proves fatal

POLICE are hunting down a man who punched his younger brother in the head causing his death.
Roselito Igot, 37, of sitio Ibabao, barangay Agus in Lapu-Lapu City fled after his brother, Brian, fell unconscious after receiving a blow to his head.

Investigators said the 27-year-old victim allegedly arrived home intoxicated and went berserk on Saturday evening.

His mother tried to pacify him, but he continued being unruly.

This irked his elder brother who tried to literally knock him back to his senses.

Relatives rushed the victim to a hospital in Lapu-Lapu where he was declared dead.

SPO2 Manolito Abellanosa appealed to the relatives of the suspect to cooperate in the investigation and to help facilitate Roselito’s surrender.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old college student from Argao town is in critical condition after he was allegedly shot by his neighbor on Magallanes St., barangay Ermita, Cebu City Sunday night.

Tyron Jay Orteza, of barangay Colawin, Argao and a student of the Cebu Technological University Argao campus was on vacation in Cebu City.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds in the neck and body.
SPO1 Ruth Violango of homicide section of the Cebu City Police Office identified the gunman as Roel Gomez, Ortez’s neighbor in Argao.
