MUJI, the Japanese lifestyle brand known for its minimalism and functional design, formally opened last March 28 at the Ayala Center Cebu.
Muji features over 30,000 units of functional and eco-friendly product categories. These range from furniture, housekeeping, kitchen and dining utensils, healthy and beauty, storage, travel, men’s and women’s apparel, stationery and food items.
Because of Cebu’s increasing cosmopolitan flair and increasing number of retail clients, Muji hopes to attract a varied mix of residents, professionals, tourists and foreign exchange students.
How does it achieve its functional design philosophy? Through streamlined production processes that eliminates unnecessary product features.
Aside from this, raw materials are carefully selected and packaging is simplified thus introducing high quality products that present a rational and non-excessive lifestyle.
In the Philippines, Muji is exclusively distributed by Stores Specialists Inc. The Muji shop in Ayala Center Cebu is the seventh store that has been opened . It is also the first outside Metro Manila.
