Isla Sugbo Seafood City reopens

April 26,2014 - 09:00 AM

ONE of the city’s most famous seafood havens since 1989, the Isla Sugbo Seafood City, reopens to satiate your palate once more.

The restaurant, previously located in JY Square Mall, recently opened its doors in Grand Convention Center of Cebu, to offer you the biggest assortment of fresh seafood in town.

Operated and managed by 101 Restaurant City Incorporated and headed by its President Winglip Chang, the restaurant had its soft reopening last March 25.

What’s new in Isla Sugbo Seafood City? “The ambiance is much better compared to our old restaurant. There is enough parking space. We have more expert chefs. One is from Hong Kong. We also have a Marine Biologist and Food Technologist who help us ensure food safety in our restaurant,” says Chang.

He adds that the food offers of the old Isla Sugbo Seafood City were more on Asian and predominantly Chinese cuisine, with a little bit of Filipino influence. Today, it is more on Western.

Locals and tourists alike will find Isla Sugbo Seafood City a perfect place to enjoy a unique dining experience because of its unparalleled food, interior design and service.

Showcasing a large selection of fresh and live seafood in Cebu, the restaurant distinguished itself as a “Destination Restaurant,” where foodies, from far and near, always visit the place for the fresh catch of the day.

Among the seafood products that the restaurant offers are Mangrove Jack (Katambak), Grouper (Pugapo), Red Snapper (Maya-maya), Pompano (Mahinlo), Rock Lobster (Banagan), Catfish (Pantat), King Crab, Mud Crab, Stonefish (Gatasan), Sea Mantis (Hanlilitik), Blue Marlin (Malasugue), Salmon, Prawns (Sugpo/Pansat), Sole Fish (Pa’d-Pa’d) and a whole lot more. Additional dishes include Pork Barbeque, Pork Belly, Chicken and other grilled offers.

Stonefish, Guests may have their orders cooked just the way they want them to be served. They may opt for a salt-free diet, a flavorful meal, or anything depending on their request.
