Mandaue City police nab High Value Individual, 2 cohorts with P306K shabu, loaded gun

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – A High Value Individual (HVI) and his two cohorts were nabbed by the Mandaue City police with P306,000 of suspected shabu (crystal meth) past 1 a.m. today,  February 20, 2020, at Sitio Superior, Barangay Looc, Mandaue City.

The suspect, Hennie Saruda, 37, residing at Barangay Ermita, Cebu City, was also found to be in  possession of a .45 caliber pistol loaded with five live ammunition following the drug bust.

His cohorts Jayson Almario, 20, of Barangay Lahug, Cebu City, and Neil Igpuara, 27, a resident of Maguikay, Mandaue City were also nabbed for possession of Illegal drugs.

Police Major Aldrin Villacampa, Chief of Opao Police Station in Mandaue City who led the drug operation, said they transacted with Saruda after establishing contact through phone and immediately conducted the buy-bust operation, which yielded positive results.

Upon arrest of Saruda, police frisked him and found a pistol tucked on his waist.

Saruda has been monitored by the police as the one who supplied illegal drugs in Mandaue City, disposing around a hundred grams per week.

The suspects are currently detained at the Opao Police Station pending the filing of appropriate charges against each of them./
