WITH TWO wins already tucked under their belt in the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup, the Southwestern University (SWU) Cobras are putting everyone on notice of their intent to make it to the country’s elite teams.
Leading the charge is Cameroonian import Landry Sanjo, who was named the tournament’s Best Player of the Week for his stellar performances during the Cobras’ pair of games last week.
The announcement was made yesterday as Sanjo averaged 17 points, 10.5 rebounds, four blocks and an assist in SWU’s 72-68 win over Jose Rizal University and thrilling 79-77 come-from-behind victory over Perpetual Help that placed its record at 2-0 (win-loss) good for first place in Group A./Correspondent Jonas Panerio
