3 more from Mandaue City test positive for COVID-19

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – The Mandaue City Health Office has already disinfected and cordoned the areas where the three individuals who tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) lived.

In an advisory posted on its official Facebook page, the Mandaue City government said that the three cases that were confirmed today, April 18, 2020, were from Barangays Cambaro and Casuntingan.

“The City Health Office and the CDRRMO have already disinfected and cordoned off the areas involved and has instructed the family members (of the COVID-19 positive individuals) to undergo strict home quarantine,” the advisory said.

Patient MC04 is a 70-year-old from Sitio Sili in Barangay Cambaro and is now confined at the Chong Hua Hospital.

Patients MC05 and MC06 are 68 and 66-years-old respectively. Both are from Sitio Manga in Barangay Casuntingan and are related to patient MC03 who earlier tested positive for COVID-19 and is now confined at the Chong Hua Hospital.

“Prior to admission, the three of them lived in the same residence,” the city’s advisory said.

Mandaue City now has a total of six COVID-19 cases.  Two of the patients have already recovered from the deadly virus.
