Active cases in Talisay City drops to 64

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Talisay City’s number of active cases of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) is now down to 64 as more recoveries were recorded on Monday, August 10, 2020.

The Talisay City Public Information Office revealed that there were 14 additional recoveries, raising the total recoveries to 634. There were only two new cases recorded on Monday.

Most of the active cases are in Barangay Lawaan I with 11 cases, followed by Barangay Cansojong with 8 cases.

The two new cases are also from Barangay Lawaan I, including a 37-year-old and a 70-year-old, who both have exhibited influenza-like-symptoms.

In total, the city has 790 cases of the COVID-19 and 84 deaths of the disease. There are also 8 deaths still to be validated.

Barangays Jaclupan, Manipis, and Tangke are the only barangays with no COVID-19 cases left. /bmjo
