CEBU CITY, Philippines— During the quarantine a different kind of teamwork happened between the University of San Carlos cager Kurt Trangia,24, and girlfriend Joy Mantos, 24, who works as a medical technologist.

The sharpshooter of the USC Warriors unlocked his hidden skills in carpentry as he makes a vanity mirror for his girlfriend.

“It was last year when she told me how she wanted to have a vanity mirror. So I decided to try and make one for her and surprisingly, the result turned out good,” said Trangia.

Just like how any proud girlfriend would do, Mantos posted it on her social media accounts and did not just earned praises but inquiries as well.

With the overwhelming response from friends, the couple decided to make this as their business while in quarantine.

The couple has now been running the online shop Vanity Mirrors Cebu since May of this year.

Aside from vanity mirrors, they also sell plant stands for all the plantitos and plantitas of Cebu.

Who makes all these? The three-point shooter himself, Kurt.

For the plant stand it usually costs at around P500 to P2000 depending on the design and for the vanity mirror it usually costs P3,000 to P5,000 depending on the bulbs used for the design and the size.

Up to this date the couple has already produced at least 15 vanity mirrors and more than 15 plant stands.

As for basketball, Trangia is a bit down with how the Cesafi season went this year but is still hopeful that the league will bounce back and that in no time, he and the warriors will be on the court playing ball again.

Let’s take a look at some of the designs made by Trangia himself.
