Aussie ship delivers relief goods in Cebu

An amphibious Royal Australian navy ship docked in Cebu, Monday morning to help in the relief and recovery operation in typhoon-hit areas in northern Cebu.

HMAS Tobruk carried 110 tons of humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) goods including tents and food from the World Food Program.

Lt. Commodore Tor Sorensen said the team will go to Bantayan and Malapascua islands and towns before going northwest coast of Leyte to continue in their relief efforts.
