Thirdy Ravena out for 3 months after finger fracture
MANILA, Philippines—Thirdy Ravena is expected to sit out for around three months following the surgery on his right finger, announced San-En on its social media platforms.
The 6-foot-2 Ravena suffered the fracture in the third quarter NeoPhoenix’ heartbreaking 81-80 loss to the SunRockers Shibuya in the elimination round of the B.League.
San-en expects Ravena to be fully healed in three months but the former Ateneo standout will miss the B.League All-Star festivities and the Slam Dunk contest.
Ravena underwent surgery on Thursday at Chunichi Hospital in Aichi, Japan.
“Happy to announce that my operation was a success!” posted Ravena on his Instagram account. “Thank you to the wonderful team of Dr. [Etsuhiro] Nakao at Chuchi Hospital and my @neophoenix_official family. Be back soon.”
A do-it-all forward, Ravena is San-en’s fourth leading scorer at 8.8 points to go along 3.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists across the 12 games he’s played in Japan.
