The Accenture Sharks came out with their guns ablaze and blew out the hapless 24/7 Cagers, 106-49, last Saturday in the 10th City Sports Club-Cebu (CSCC) E-League for Basketball at the CSCC Gym.
Six of the seven players that scored for the Sharks finished in double figures, paving the way for the 57-point blowout.
The mighty display of offensive prowess made Accenture the first team in the season to score at least 100 points and in the process allowed them to tie the defending champions Aegis Vipers at the number one spot in the Division I standings with identical 4-1 (win-loss) records.
Ryan Edward Llanos led the way for the Sharks with 31 points, while Archie Brian Vincent Batua had 22 points and 11 rebounds. Karlo Kaye Pacaña added 16 markers and 10 boards, Julian Kyle Suerte chipped in 13 markers, while Bradley Natavio and Saeed Quinatao finished with 10 points each.
Jed Nabuanag had 12 points for the listless Cagers, who absorbed their fifth double-digit loss to drop to 0-5 (win-loss).
Also chalking up a lopsided win was the Convergys-1 Wolves, who pummeled the Job Target Bandits, 68-23.
Mark Alvarez and Rex Benjie Saje each fired 16 points to lead the Wolves’ third win in four games.
The Cagers remained winless after five games.
Scoring separate wins in Division 2 were the Wipro Tigers and the SSI Warriors.
The Tigers improved to 5-1 with a 61-46 win over the Teletech Titans, while the Warriors nailed their third win in five games at the expense of Sykes Pioneers, 75-55.
Reinario Salibay Jr. paced the Tigers with 10 points, while Jaygard Vios and Ian Rey Compasivo had 13 and 10 for the Titans, who dropped to 1-3.
Lawrence Daven Agas scored 15 for SSI, while Rhett Romeo Tomakin and Robert Espinoza added 11 each.
Gerald Bien Galarido tallied 17 points for the Pioneers, who absorbed their third loss against a single win.
