CEBU CITY, Philippines — The Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) is reshuffling some of the station heads in the 11 police stations in the city.

Police Colonel Josefino Ligan, the CCPO director, said the reshuffling is part of the usual movements in ranks in the CCPO especially since many of the station commanders have been serving a station for at least a year.

“For them, para dili nila mafeel ang comfort sa ilaha. Unya ilahang balhinan, station commander man gihapon, aron makapa pud nila ang other barangays, other areas sa Cebu City,” said Ligan.

The reshuffling of the officers is a part of the professional advancement of the station commanders.

Police Major Armando Labora will be moved from station 1 to station 2, Police Major Alvin Llamedo will be moved from station 5 to station 8, Police Major Jonathan Taneo will be moved from station 8 to station 5.

Police Major Janelito Marquez will be transferred from station 9 to station 10, while Police Major Jonathan Dela Cerna will be transferred from station 10 to station 9.

Other station commanders will already be taking headquarter roles including Police Major Elisandro Quijano, who will be leading the City Community Affairs Development Unit (CCADU), Police Major Albert Quilitorio who will now head the Mobile Patrol Unit (MPU), and Police Major Maila Maramag will lead the City Administrative Resource Management Units (CARMU) and the City Learning Doctrine Development Unit ( CLDDU).

Police Major Ardioleto Cabagnot will be the new station commander of Police Station 1.

Ligan reminded the reassigned chiefs to work harder to implement health protocols.

“Padayon ang pakig-alayon sa mga barangays nato. Labi na nagkasaka ang COVID, ayaw ninyo pabayai. Dako kaayog ikatabang sa mga barangays para mapahunong kining COVID. I command our station commanders to liase with them immediately,” said Ligan.

The station commanders are encouraged to implement programs with the coordination of the barangays to improve not only the COVID-19 situations in the barangays but in the fight against illegal drugs as well.
