Kinatarkan Island: Every adventure junkie’s island

CEBU CITY, Philippines— Thinking of a new place to release your adventure junkie self?

There’s an island in the north of Cebu that can give you just that. Welcome to Kinatarkan Island in Sta. Fe, Bantayan.

According to photographer Jack Ponpon, the island can be reached faster if you start off from the port in Poblacion, Daanbantayan.

“Mas duol man anhi from the mainland, 50 mins (approx.) ang byahe. Tag 55 ra ang plete per person,” he said.

After nearly an hour of traveling by boat, once you get to the island, you can instantly choose what adventure you can enjoy first.

The island covers relaxation with its white sand beach called Bitoon Beach, the island also has coral cliff coves and a lagoon for you to explore.

“Usually ig abot sa isla, mag habal2x pa going sa Lagoon. Tag 70 ang plete, then another 20 para entrance sa lagoon,” he added.

Laaw is what they call the lagoon which can be enjoyed if the tide is high.

Once you have reached the island you have to log your names and details at the Langub Barangay Hall.
