A man was arrested at his own home 8 p.m. last night, after police confiscated two firearms and some substances believed to be drugs at Liloan town yesterday.
“Somebody reported in our station about this certain person, then we responded to it,” PO2 Eric Pentoy of the Liloan police precinct said.
The suspect was identified as Louwel Capampangan Dinopol, a resident of sitio Kabangkalan, Barangay Jubay, Liloan.
Seized from his possession were one .22 rifle with improvise silencer and 42 bullets and one .45 pistol with one magazine and 10 bullets. A crystalline substance suspected to be shabu was also seen in Dinopol’s home.
There were no casualties as the suspect submitted himself to the Liloan police officers during the raid.
Dinopol is currently detained at the Liloan police precinct together with the confiscated firearms. The substances were turned over to the Department of Interior and Local Governments (DILG) regional office for further investigation. /Report by USJ-R Intern Chens Judale Pleños
