Be the lobby group to urge government to fuel more investments in areas outside Metro Manila.
This is Senate Majority Floor Leader Alan Peter Cayetano’s challenge to some 300 businessmen who attended last Friday’s 23rd Visayas Area Business Conference in Mandaue City.

Cayetano was one of the speakers of the event which is one of the highlights of the Mandaue Business Month.

“I think however, the best way to decongest Metro Manila is to spur growth outside of Metro Manila by putting in investments on infrastructure like in the Visayas. People will start to go out of Metro Manila when there are jobs available elsewhere or in their home towns,” he said.

He said the government can put in investments in North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao areas instead of focusing only in Metro Manila./Reporter Aileen Garcia-Yap
