Public schools in Cebu conduct simulation, orientation before start of face-to-face classes
CEBU CITY, Philippines – With only a week left before November 15, several public schools in Cebu province have conducted simulation exercises for the resumption of limited face-to-face classes.
One of them was Pilar National High School, which is located in the island-town of Pilar on Camotes Island.
Selected senior high school students from Grade 10 and Grade 11 visited joined in a brief dry-run held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021.
The simulation was done to orient students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel on the health protocols being imposed within the school property.
Meanwhile, in south Cebu, local government officials of Samboan town, administrators, teachers, and parents of students from Basak Elementary School gathered for an orientation last Monday, November 8.
In Basak Elementary School, only pupils from Kinder until Grade 3 were permitted to return to in-person classes which will run from Monday to Friday, a post from the local government’s social media account stated.
“Gipasabot sa mga magtutudlo nga sila magbahin sa mga estudyante sa buntagon ug hapunon nga schedule. Aduna usab disinfection procedure nga himuon matag adlawng Biernes,” they added.
A total of eight schools in Central Visayas will be joining the nationwide pilot implementation of the limited face-to-face classes this November 15.
All of these schools are from Cebu.
