CEBU CITY, Philippines — Fully vaccinated Cebu City residents have a chance to win a house and lot, a brand new car, five motorcycles, P25,000 worth of gift cash, groceries, flat-screen televisions (TVs), and other prizes.

The city government has officially launched the Pabakunana Ta Bonanza on November 11, 2021, with a pre-draw of at least 50 winners for minor prizes including flat-screen TVs and others.

All individuals who have been fully vaccinated under the city government’s PabakunaTa program are automatically part of the raffle draw as their names are already encoded in the database of the city.

The draw will be generated from the vaccination database for all those who were inoculated with the second dose and for those vaccinated with the single-shot Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccines.

Those who were vaccinated under the Project Balik Buhay (PBB) can join only if their data have been forwarded to the city government.

Acting Mayor Michael Rama said the launch took time since they announced the program in October 2021, because the city government sought the help of private companies for the prizes.

The city government did not spend anything on the prizes but instead tapped malls, brands, and companies to provide the house and lot, car, motorcycles, appliances, and others.

“Some have been doubting if there will be people helping. You know, with an intention that is noble and asking the prayer, there will always be coming. The intension is massive vaccination,” said Rama.

The acting mayor is thankful that the private sector eagerly helped the city government in encouraging the public to get vaccinated.

The city has already reached over 50 percent of its target vaccination with at least 427,628 total individuals fully vaccinated from the 771,431 total registrants.

The city government hopes that more individuals will get vaccinated now that they have a chance to win multiple prizes such as:
