Toledo City Municipal Treasurer’s Office robbed

Another treasurer’s office was robbed by burglars in Cebu province.

This time unidentified burglars broke open a vault inside the treasurer’s office of the Toledo City Hall in barangay Ilihan last night.

Police said they were told about the incident by market collector Lynmar Caballero Formento, who saw that the open vault.

Senior Supt. Ricky Delilis, Toledo City police chief, said they have yet to know the amount stolen from the vault. The treasurer said P6 million worth of teachers’ salaries was withdrawn.

Formento was invited to the police precinct for questioning since he reported the incident two hours after it happened.
