LAPU-LAPU CITY, Philippines — The Local Vaccination Operations Center (LVOC) in Lapu-Lapu City has already identified two pharmacies where they can inoculate the COVID-19 vaccine.

This was confirmed by Lawyer James Sayson, deputy chief of LVOC and the vaccine czar in the city.

Sayson said that La Nueva Pharmacy and Rose Pharmacy, both located at Barangay Poblacion can be tapped as vaccination sites.

“Sa Lapu-Lapu we have identified two so far. But nag-inspection pata ug nag-list pata sa mga logistics,” Sayson said.

Aside from this, Sayson said that they are also waiting for the Department of Health (DOH)-7 to assign personnel to these pharmacies who would vaccinate those who would want to get the jab.

“Ang kulang man gud sa atong mga pharmacies kay ang atong manpower, ang mo-vaccinate, kay gikan man sa DOH. So once maka-deploy si DOH ug personnel ngadto sa mga pharmacies, mo go nata,” he added.

Sayson, however, clarified that they will only cater to those who would want to have booster shots of the vaccine, while the first dose and second dose would still be administered at the vaccination sites.   /rcg
