Ayala Center Cebu celebrates Pink October themed “Together” with its beneficiary, iCan Serve Foundation, in a series of events and activities to raise awareness and help raise funds for one of the leading causes of death among women.
Kicking off the month-long celebration is the launching of John Ablaza’s coffee-table book “Ramp Diva Filipina” last October 1 at The Gallery. Featuring photo archives of over 60 iconic Filipina supermodels in the history of Philippine fashion, the book pays tribute to the Divas of Philippine Runway who brought honor and prestige to the country’s modelling industry during the late ‘70s to 2000.
A fashion show highlighting Cebu’s top designers with cancer survivors gracing the catwalk was also featured in the event.
From October 3 to 24, take a selfie at the Think Pink booth located at the ground floor of Paseo Ciudad (fronting Beauty Bar) and upload your photo on Instagram, tag @AyalaCenterCebu and use the hashtag #ThinkPinkAyala for a chance to win fun prizes.
From October 10 to 17 at Level 1 Expansion Wing (fronting Vero Moda) of Ayala Center Cebu is the caricature exhibit by famed artist Gil Maningo. The exhibit features caricatures of breast cancer survivors and the stories behind each one. Be inspired by the courage and strength these women have in fighting the Big C.
On October 11, learn about the Think Pink campaign and participate in the advocacy on breast cancer awareness at the Cancer Chat. Hear inspiring talks from women and the prime movers of the campaign at The Gallery at 1PM.
From October 13 to 19 at Paseo Marina and Ciudad Intersection, make each bid go a long way at the Lifetime Collectibles on Auction. Aside from owning unique finds from known personalities, you can get to help raise funds for women advocacies.
Together with activities that raise awareness on breast cancer are a series of Think Pink fitness events that promote overall health and wellness.
Jive to the liveliest beat and join the zumba fever at the weekly Pink Zumba every Wednesday on Oct. 8, 15 and 22, 7 pm at The Terraces. A donation of at least P50 for the benefit of the iCan Serve Foundation serves as entry fee.
Meanwhile from October 11 to 12, volunteer doctors from Cebu Doctors University Hospital will hold a free breast check at the PINK CLINIC located at level 1 of Paseo Solana.
October 19 marks the 8th Pink October Run at Cebu Business Park. Join the fitness caravan in 3k, 6k and 12k categories. Be in your pinkest running outfit or take the best Pink October Run selfie to win special prizes. Registration fee for all categories is P300.
From October 15 to 17 at the Activity Center and Paseo Solana, fill your days with everything pretty in pink with the Pink Expo. Get the best deals in beauty, health and wellness – all in pink. Shop at Pink Expo and get a chance to win limited edition Think Pink items.
On October 24, 6pm at The Terraces, celebrate the Pink Life during the Think Pink Culmination Night with a special celebrity guest.
