Batch 2012 stuns Batch 2014 in Game 1 of Division C finals

CEBU CITY, Philippines—Carampatana Food Corp.-Batch 2012 shocked Asian Orthopedics-Batch 2014, 78-72, to take Game 1 of their Best-of-Three Division C finals in the Sacred Heart Ateneo Alumni Basketball Athletic Association (SHAABAA) Season 25 last Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Magis Eagles Arena in Mandaue City.

Rev-Rev Diputado and Dave Yu put on stellar performances by scoring 21 points each for Batch 2012, which has a chance to wrap up the title on Tuesday, October 18. 

Lucky Ecarma had 26 points, 14 rebounds, with four assists, and two steals for Batch 2014.

MDP Customs Brokerage-Winzir-Batch 2013 placed third in Division C after beating SABR Solutions Inc.-Batch 2018, 113-80, in the Battle-for-Third. 

Meanwhile, the Cebu Landmasters-Batch 2003 drew first blood against Suprea Ready Mixed Concrete-Batch 2011, 76-67, in game 1 of the Division B finals. 

Daryle Tan put on a stellar show by pouring 25 points with five rebounds and three assists. His teammates Moncrief Rogado and Justin Ross Huang each added 12 points, while Wilmer Rodney Ong scored chipped in 11. 

Starkwood Properties Inc.-Batch 2009 routed Bad Boys Wingz-Batch 2007, 86-59, to claim the third place in Division B.
