CEBU CITY, Philippines –Vehicular traffic will be rerouted on Saturday, January 14, for the Solemn Procession of the Señor Sto. Niño that would start at 1 p.m.

The Cebu City Transportation Office (CCTO) said affected roads will include Osmeña Boulevard, Fuente Circle, Gen. Maxilom Avenue, Imus New Road, and MJ Cuenco Avenue.

“Motorists, drivers, and other road users are advised to observe and follow the traffic signs installed on the re-routing areas to minimize traffic congestion. Traffic enforcers will be deployed to assist motorists. Please be guided accordingly,” CCTO said in an advisory.

Below is the traffic rerouting plan that will be implemented on Saturday:

1. Passenger jeeps coming from Bulacao, Pardo and Basak passing along N. Bacalso Ave. shall follow N. Bacalso Ave., right turn to V.Rama Extension, left turn to Tres de Abril St., right turn to Lakandula St., left turn to C. Padilla St., right turn to Panganiban St., right turn to Tupas St., right turn to Tres de Abril St., left turn to N. Bacalso Ave., then back to their point of origin.

2. Passenger jeeps coming from Bulacao, Pardo, Alumnos, Inayawan and Basak passing along C.Padilla St., shall turn right to Carlock St., left to Tupas St., left to T. Abella St., right to C. Padilla St., right to Lakandula St., right to Tupas St., right to T. Abella St., left to C. Padilla St., then to their point of origin.

3. Passenger jeeps coming from Banawa, Capitol, Guadalupe, and Oppra passing along Osmeña Blvd., shall go straight to Osmeña Blvd., right to J. Llorente St., right to Don Mariano Cui St., back to their usual route, then to their point of origin.

4. Passenger jeeps coming from Banawa, and Guadalupe, passing V. Rama Ave./B. Rodriguez St. shall right turn to Katipunan St., left A. Lopez St., follow to Tres de Abril St., left to N. Bacalso Ave., except 06A and 06G shall turn left to V. Rama Ave., to their usual route, then to their point of origin.

5. Passenger jeeps coming from Lahug, Apas, and Plaza Housing passing along N. Escario St., shall follow to N. Escario St., left to Juana Osmeña St., right to J.Llorente St., right to Osmeña Blvd., right to N. Escario St., then back to their point of origin.

6. Passenger jeeps coming from Lahug, Apas, and Plaza Housing passing along Gorordo Ave., will turn left to Cardinal Rosales Ave., then make a U-turn at C. Rosales Ave., right to Gorordo Ave., then back to their point of origin.

7. Passenger jeeps coming from Talamban and Pit-os, upon reaching Ayala, traversing along Gorordo Ave., left turn to Cardinal Rosales Ave., back to Ayala, to their usual route, then to their point of origin.

8. Passenger jeeps coming from Mabolo including 03B while traversing along Juan Luna Ave., shall go straight then turn right to A. Soriano Ave., left to Gen. Maxilom Extn., right to D. Gaisano St., left to T. Padilla St., left to S. Osmeña Ave., left to Juan Luna Ave., to their usual route, then to their point of origin.

9. Passenger jeeps coming from Mandaue passing along M.J. Cuenco Ave., while traversing along Cebu North Road, shall turn left to Juan Luna Ave., right to A. Soriano Ave., left to Gen. Maxilom Extn., right to D. Gaisano St., left to T. Padilla St., left to S. Osmeña Ave., left to Gen. Maxilom Extn., right to A. Soriano Ave., to their usual route, then to their point of origin.

10. Passenger jeeps coming from Urgello and USC Girls High (Private) may transport/cater passengers from the port area and North Bus Terminal passing Serging Osmeña Blvd., to Plaza Independencia, left to Legaspi Extn., back to Serging Osmeña Blvd., to the port area and vice versa.

11. Passenger jeep coming from Labangon with Route Nos. 12A, 12B, 12C, 12D, 12F, and 12M shall follow to Tres de Abril St., right to Carlock St., left to B. Aranas St., right to Lakandula St., right to C.Padilla St., right to Carlock St., left to Tres de Abril St., left to N. Bacalso Ave., then to their point of origin.

12. Passenger jeep coming from the South going to SM shall follow F. Llamas St., right to Katipunan St. left to R. Duterte St., proceed to M. Velez St., left to N. Escario St., left to Gorordo Ave., right to Salinas Drive straight to Juan Luna Ave., then to their destination. In going back they shall follow Juan Luna Ave., to Salinas drive, left to Gorodo Ave., right to N. Escario St., right to M.Velez St., proceed to R. Duterte St., then to their point of origin.

13. Trucks, van, trailers, and other motor vehicles coming from the south going to SM or North Area shall follow South Road and then to South Coastal Road at SRP, passing the tunnel, to Serging Osmeña Blvd., then to the North Reclamation Area.

14. Trucks vans, trailers, and other motor vehicles coming from the North Reclamation Area to the south are advised to pass along S. Osmeña Ave., passing to the tunnel, then to SRP, then to their point of destination.

15. All motor vehicles coming from Tabunok, Minganilla, Naga, San Fernando, and Carcar that wish to go to the North Reclamation Area are advised to pass at the South Coastal Road.

16. Private vehicles coming from the south and going to the Capitol and Lahug areas shall use N. Bacalso Ave., then left to Dela Victoria St. or J. Tabura St., then Sabellano St., left to F.Llamas St., right to Katipunan St., left to Duterte St., then to their point of destination.

17. Private vehicles coming from the north going to Capitol/uptown areas, while traversing along M.J Cuenco Ave., may turn right to Pope John Paul II Ave. (Juan Luna Ave.) left to Gorordo Ave., right to M. Gaisano St. or N. Escario St., then to their point of destination.
