A 26-year-old farmer was fatally shot in barangay Obong, Dalaguete town, southern Cebu.
Alberto Cano was driving a motorcycle when he was waylaid by a still-unidentified assailant early morning Friday.
Police said the man was supposed to bring vegetables to the Mantalungon public market.
The victim died on the spot due to gunshot wounds in the head and back.
Police are still investigating the motive of the killing.
