Sta. Cruz, Palo – Police continue to conduct a motorcade dry run en route from Tacloban City to Palo town early this morning.

Police personnel were deployed along the motorcade routes as they positioned the barricades.

The weather was sunny during the second dry run today, an improvement over yesterday’s rains.

SPO1 JM Espidida of the Quezon Police Provincial Office said part of their security measures is not to use firearms.

Aside from police, personnel from the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) were deployed to help the traffic situation since no road closures have been implemented yet.

Flags of the Philippines and the Vatican were displayed outside the Palo Cathedral.

On Saturday this week, establishments along the route will be closed for the security of Pope Francis.
