Mandaue student dies of lung disease months before graduation

A heartbreaking scene unfolded at the Mandaue City College on June 16, 2023, when a sister of a student, who died months before graduation, received her deceased sibling’s diploma for finishing a Business Administration course.

Dr. Lilybeth Mayol, Mandaue City College administrator, said that Abegael Inot died in March this year due to a lung disease.

Mayol said that it was Abegael’s last wish for her sister to receive her diploma if she would not make it to the June 16 ceremony.

The late Abegael Inot finished Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Human Resources Development Management.
