The two admitted they were very excited counting the days before the wedding as they have been dreaming of it for several years. Justina was dressed in a simple white blouse and skirt while Norberto wore a short-sleeved polo barong and a pair of dark pants.

AFTER 34 years of living together, a couple’s union was finally legalized in a civil rights through Pag-IBIG Fund’s “Kasalan ng Bayan” yesterday at J-Center Mall in Mandaue City.

Norberto Panci-Panci, 67, and Justina Angcon, 63, of barangay Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City were among the 227 pairs who exchanged “I dos” at the mall’s function hall where the wedding ceremony was held with Mayor Jonas Cortes as the solemnizing officer.

The two admitted they were very excited counting the days before the wedding as they have been dreaming of it for several years.
Justina was dressed in a simple white blouse and skirt while Norberto wore a short-sleeved polo barong and a pair of dark pants.

The couple walked down the aisle with the other younger couples.

Justina admitted that her being married to another man was the reason why they could not legally get married.

“I was married but we have separated a long time ago. He died last year,” she said in Cebuano.

She said she did not have her previous marriage annulled as she could not afford it.

Justina and Norberto were blessed with three children now aged 34, 33 and 31, the youngest still single.
