THE CHRIST’S Commission Fellowship (CCF) and the CFGA remained unbeaten as they defeated their respective opponents in the 34-below class of the ongoing Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) basketball tournament last week at the Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu basketball courts along Mango Avenue.
CFGA, a team that is being powered by several players from the University of the Visayas (UV), got past GWUC, 75-67, to hike its win-loss record to 5-0 in Bracket A.
CCF remained close behind at 4-0 after beating Blessed Hope Christian Fellowship, 60-50, behind the 12 points of current UV big man Steve Akomo.
In Bracket B, the Praise Cathedral Nets are in a class of their own as they downed the Athletes for Christ in Excellent Service (Aces), 55-49, for their fourth win in as many games.
Former University of San Carlos (USC) center Carl Valencia led the way with 11 markers.
In the same bracket, BCCP Joshua took second place after slipping past MCA, 58-49, for its fourth win in five outings.
