MANDAUE CITY, Cebu—(UPDATED) A fire engulfed a warehouse of a lumber store in sitio Fatima, Barangay Maguikay here late Tuesday night, September 5, 2023.
According to FO1 Cyrus Albert Ytang of the Mandaue fire department, the fire was reported at 9:56 p.m. It was placed under control at 10:53 p.m. Fire out was declared at 3:17 a.m. on Wednesday, September 6.
The fire reached third alarm at 10:15 p.m., according to fire officials.
Initial investigation revealed that the damage caused by the fire was pegged at P1.5 million.
SFO1 Wilfred Morales also said more investigation is being done to determine the cause of the fire.
