ALL industries are affected by increasing threats to civilian safety, and in the hospitality industry, hotel security teams are continuously fortifying measures and policies.
The Cebu chapter of the Accommodation Establishments Security and Safety Coordinating Council, Inc. (AESSCCI) is the largest organization of accommodation security professionals in the Philippines, and provides a venue for the exchange of critical security information about terrorism, and crimes against tourists and hotel guests.
AESSCCI had their official hand-over ceremony last February 23, bidding farewell to Lt. Col. Raul Peralta, CSP and to welcome the organization’s new president Leandro Paralisan, CSP, the current Security Manager of Quest Hotel & Conference Center, Cebu, who has also previously served as Security Manager for the Rotana group of hotels in Dubai, UAE, before holding the same position for the former Hilton Resort and Spa, in Mactan.
Formerly known as the Association of Hotel Security Officers of the Philippines, Inc, (AHSOP) which was founded in 1972 by the General Managers and Chiefs of Security of the major hotels, the present AESSCCI continues to foster strong cooperation among its members in providing and implementing exceptional security and safety measures under the guidance of the Department of Tourism.
