Body of CEBECO II supervisor found on bushy area in Bogo City

CEBU CITY, Philippines – The body of a man who reportedly works at the Cebu Electric Cooperative (Cebeco) was found in a bushy area in Sitio Laray, Barangay Anonang Norte, Bogo City, Cebu on Wednesday morning, September 27, 2023.
Police identified the victim as 39-year-old Samuel Essex Camay Minguez, married and a resident of Villa Casita, Brgy Lapaz, Bogo City, Cebu. He works as a Staking Supervisor of Cebeco II.
Minguez was found lying motionless in a bushy area in the barangay together with the Yamaha Mio i 125 motorcycle he was allegedly driving.
The person who found the body was identified by police as Ely Escalona Montesclaros Jr.
The police report revealed that based on the initial assessment, the victim possibly suffered a traumatic head injury after his motorcycle hit a coconut tree.
Bogo City is a sixth-class component city located approximately 97 kilometers north of Cebu City.
