Cesafi: UC Baby Webmasters butcher DBTC Greywolves

CEBU CITY, Philippines— The University of Cebu (UC) Baby Webmasters butchered the Don Bosco Technology Center (DBTC) Greywolves, 83-35, to remain undefeated in the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) high school basketball on Thursday, October 5, 2023, at the Cebu Coliseum.
The victory improved UC’s record to 2-0, while inflicting DBTC’s second straight loss in two games.
Johncel Borjal and Gemini Abellana Jr. tandemed in UC’s lopsided win by scoring 11 points apiece, while Jensyx Romanos added 10 points.
Christopher Bas scored 15 points in DBTC’s losing efforts.
UC led early from the get-go, 18-8, and went on sealing the first half with an 18-point cushion, 37-19.
The Baby Webmasters became more unrelenting in the second half with their aggressiveness offensively, while clamping down the Greywolves with their excellent defense.
They also established a 16-5 run to stretch their lead to 24 points, 53-29, heading into the final period.
In the fourth period, the Baby Webmasters unleashed another scoring blitz with Lourdonnie Cuyos nailing back-to-back treys to grab a 31-point lead, 60-29.
The Baby Webmasters sealed DBTC’s demise after unloading a whopping 23-6 run, to achieve their staggering 48-point lead and with the final score. / dcb
