As the May 2 mega fight between Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and undefeated American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. draws near, more Hollywood celebrities are visiting Pacquiao in training.

Hollywood actor and producer Mark Wahlberg is Pacquiao’s latest A-list visitor at the Wild Card Boxing Club in Los Angeles.

In a picture posted on his Twitter account on Sunday (Manila time), Pacquiao thanked Wahlberg for his support.

“Thank you @mark_wahlberg for visiting me and supporting me at training in preparation for May 2nd. Thank you Lord,” Pacquiao said.
Wahlberg, an actor and producer of hit shows “Entourage” and “Boardwalk Empire,” knows a thing or two about boxing, having starred in the 2010 Academy Award-nominated film “The Fighter.”

The movie focuses on the life of professional boxer Micky Ward.

Some of Pacquiao’s previous A-list visitors include NFL quarterback Tim Tebow and actor Cuba Gooding Jr.

Pacquiao and Mayweather are set to exchange blows at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in what has been dubbed as the richest fight in boxing history.
