Dumanjug Mayor Nelson Garcia has filed a manifestation before the Cebu Provincial Board (PB) withdrawing the complaint he filed against Dumanjug Vice Mayor Efren Guntrano Gica.

Garcia stated that he is withdrawing the case out of “utter frustration” and “disgust.”

Garcia filed the complaint against Gica on July 21, 2014 for allegedly  changing the original amount of the receipt which was P11,435 to P21,435.

The mayor claims that even after more than six months in the Committee on Complaints and Investigations, no action has been taken on the case.

Garcia also recalled in his manifestation that he was informed by a PB member that the members of the body, particularly those in the committee, would not, for personal and political reasons, take any adverse action against Gica.

He then was advised to withdraw his administrative complaint against Gica and “seek justice elsewhere.”
