Primary Homes running event on May 17 now open to all
THE 5TH “Run To Build Their Future” of Primary Homes Inc. on May 17 is now open to everyone who wishes to participate in the event.
This as the organizers announced in yesterday’s launching at the 2Quad Building at the Cebu Business Park that they are expecting more runners to join this edition of the race, which starts and finishes at the Cebu Business Park.
The footrace will have 3-kilometer, 6k and 12k distances. Just like before, proceeds of the race will be used for the Primary Structures Educational Foundation Inc. (PSEFI)
The previous race was exclusive for runners connected to the Primary Group of Builders, which include the Primary Structures Corporation, Primary Homes, Primary Properties, Concrete Solutions Incorporated, Primary Skills and Primary Energy.
“Now that we make this run available to all, we are expecting more runners to join,” said Ramero Espina, vice president for sales and marketing of Primary Homes Inc.
Organizers are worried though that they may not attract more participants since another race is also scheduled on that day in Cebu City.
Race director Joel Baring said May 17 was already scheduled for this running event. They were surprised that another running event was also scheduled on the same date. That race will start at the SM City Cebu.
Baring said a city ordinance was approved in 2012, allowing only one running event to be held per day to prevent traffic congestion.
Still, organizers are optimistic the event will gather enough participants especially since it is for a good cause.
Registration is ongoing at the Primary Homes V. Rama Office, Mabolo Garden Flats showroom at the second level of SM City Cebu, RUNNR Ayala Center Cebu and online at www.race.ph.
Registration fee is P250 for the 3k, P300 for the 6k and P350 for the 12k.
