THE country will experience partly cloudy skies with isolated rain showers today and the next few days, the state weather bureau Pagasa said yesterday.
Romeo Aguirre, weather specialist of Pagasa’s Mactan office, said the rain is part of the hydrological cycle which is intensified by too much heat.
“Expect rain showers for about 30 minutes, mostly in the afternoon or evening,” he said.
Aguirre said they haven’t noticed any low pressure area or weather disturbance. He said the rainy season has yet to start.
“The southwest monsoon will intensify and signal the start of the rainy season by the last week of May or early June,” he said.
“Whether there’s sun or rain, we need umbrellas,” he advised.
