Cebuanos compete in Dipolog Centennial Triathlon

THE BEST Cebuano triathletes will test their endurance in the two-day Dipolog Centennial Triathlon today in Dipolog City.

Lone Filipino off-road triathlete Joseph Miller spearheads the list of Cebuanos joining the event as he competes in the male elite division along with Alaska Trispire’s Kristiane Lim, rising triathlete John Philip Dueñas, former Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines champion Noy Jopson, Emmanuel Commendador and Ralph Arce.

In the distaff side, full ironman finisher Lorhiz Echavez-Lopez, Amale Jopson, Hannah Lou Galo, Shiah Ruth Uy and Aaliyah Mataragnon will mix it up with some of the best triathletes in the country.

Aside from the aforementioned, two of Cebu’s best triathlon teams, Parklane Tri Team and Omega Pro Tri Team, will also be joining the competition.

Today will feature the tri-kids competition while the standard, sprint, super tri-kids, fun and team challenges will be held tomorrow.

The standard distance will have a 1.5-kilometer swim, 60k bike and 15k run course while the sprint has a  750m swim, 30k bike and 7.5k run race.
