Dizon is richest Mandaue exec with P45 M net worth

City Councilor Emmarie Ouano-Dizon is the richest elected official in Mandaue City with a net worth of over P45 million as of December last year based on her statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN).

The SALNs of several city councilors as well as Mandaue City Mayor Jonas Cortes and Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede were submitted by the City Legal Office to the Ombudsman-Visayas over the weekend.

In her SALN, Dizon lists as her liability a P10,300,000 personal loan from Metrobank.

Dizon’s assets include real properties worth P36,050,000.00 and personal items  worth P9,370,000.00.

Her real properties include nine residential lots with six buildings, one condominium unit and one agricultural lot.

Among her personal items were four cars, four motorcycles, jewelry worth P2,000,000.00, a time deposit worth P1,850, cash on hand and bank accounts worth P450,000,00.

She and her husband Nixon Dizon’s businesses include five fastfood franchises and they are also shareholders in six other businesses.

They are the proprietors of You Resto & Bar, while her husband Nixon Dizon is also a proprietor of Sweat Gym.

Mayor Cortes comes in second with a net worth of P20,999,411.94 and liabilities of P7,161,497.26

Cortes listed 30 properties worth P10,045,469.55 which are mostly inherited fom his parents and the parents of his wife Sarah Walker-Cortes.

Inventory
Of the 30 properties, 18 were inherited by his wife Sarah while three other properties were inherited from Cortes’ parents. They also purchased nine lots.

The mayor’s personal properties includes cash on hand and bank amounting to P1,731,829.91 and merchandise inventory of P189,364.96.

Cortes’ investments includes bonds worth P261,000.00, jewelry worth P1,975,000.00 and gold coins worth P500,000.00.

He also recorded fixed assets of P12,618,244.78 including his house worth P6,651,280.15.

Councilor Beethoven Andaya is the third richest with a net worth of P16.6 million with no liabilities.

Receivables
His real properties include a house and lot in barangay Paknaan worth P3 million, a lot in Lapu-lapu City worth P2 million, six units Isuzu prime mover worth P4 million, 13 unit trailers worth P2.5 million and four vehicles worth P2.2 million.

His personal properties includes P1 million cash on hand and bank accounts, receivables of P1.5 million, furniture worth P200,000 and jewelry worth P200,000.

Andaya owns the trading company Oceanic Bay Sales and Fasttrack Cargo, a trucking service firm.

Vice Mayor Glenn Bercede ranks fourth with P12,718,000 and counts a P15,000 bank loan as his lone liability.

His real properties include five residential lots in Barangay Banilad, Mandaue City, five houses, one carport, four cars and two motorcycles.

Others who submitted their SALN include City Councilor Jimmy Lumapas who reported a net worth of P5,694,940.00 with no liabilities.

City Councilor Nenita Layese with a net worth of P3,195,000 and liabilities worth P8,300,000.00.

City Councilor Benjamin Basiga has yet to submit his SALN to the City Legal Office.
