A NEWBORN baby girl was found abandoned in a house in barangay Capitol Site, Cebu City yesterday morning.
The baby was wrapped in cloth and was left beside the restroom of an abandoned house in sitio Maria Christina.
Levy Rubia, 53, a resident in the area, said he was in the restroom when he heard a baby crying.
Rubia said when he came out to investigate, he was shocked to see the baby on the ground.
The baby’s umbilical cord was still intact.
Rubia sought help from barangay tanods who brought the baby to the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.
Rubia said he suspected that the mother of the baby girl was a boarder in his neighbor’s house.
Rubia went to the boarding to the house but the woman was no longer around.
