Imagine yourself being carried in King Kong’s hand, or crossing a wrecked hanging bridge on a deep cliff or mingling with dinosaurs.
You can pretend to do all this in a “miracle art museum” that opened in Cordova town in Mactan island.
“I’ve learned that this is very famous in Korea and they brought it here. The first time Filipinos will get to experience it is here,” said Cordova Mayor Adelino Sitoy.
Cebu Happyworld Museum in barangay Gabi opened last December 7 and is owned by the same Korean company that operates the Cebu Yellow Submarine.
Daily tours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. bring visitors to experience 80 painted murals whose optical illusions present three dimensional images of world famous works in the 4,000-square meter facility.
Fredi Lee, who manages the museum, said people of all ages will be surprised by the use of featured light refraction and reflection techniques.
He said through “miracle art,” visitors become directors or protagonists in the paintings, or participate by doing imaginative and fun poses in front of the artwork.
Entrance fee is P400 for adults; P300 for students 12-17 years old; and P200 for children four to 11 years old.
