This brings to eight the number of female inmates that exhibited “violent behavior” inside their cell today, Provincial Jail Consultant Marc Toral said.

A few hours earlier, two female inmates had to be treated by a doctor and two nurses for their erratic behavior. The inmates who saw them thought that they were “possessed.”

The inmates would shout: “Pugngi ko kay naay mukuha namo”

Toral said the six inmates are being prayed over. Rosaries, images of Mama Mary that were used to keep them calm are being thrown or pushed away by the inmates.

The two female inmates who went berserk earlier are now calmed.

Dr. Christina Giango said the female inmates may have ingested carbon dioxide which caused their violent behavior.
