MORE RUNNERS continue to register for the Hunat Sugbu V: Dagan Para Ni Maning, which will be held this Sunday starting at the Ayala Center Cebu’s The Terraces.
Nick Nacorda, one of the organizers from the Cebu Parklane International Hotel, said that from 1,500 last Wednesday, the number of runners rose to 1,800 as of
yesterday. Of the total, 600 have registered in the 12k distance. The rest are registered in either the 21k half marathon, 6k or 3k.
Organizers are expecting to reach their target of 2,000 runners before race day. Registration is still going on at the Cebu City Sports Center (CCSC) and at the Cebu Parklane International Hotel.
“We expect more runners to register on race day,” Nacorda said.
Nacorda also said that the race will push through even if it rains this Sunday.
The race is held for the benefit of the medical mission of Parklane in partnership with the Iesu Christi Community.
A total of P120,000 in cash prizes will be given to winners in different categories. Winners in the 12k and 21k finishers will also receive medals.
Joel Baring of Sports and Fitness Enthusiasts (Safe) will handle the technical side of the foot race.
