FOUR MORE teams look to make their mark as they make their respective debuts in the 91st NCAA men’s basketball tournament today at the Arena in San Juan.

In the opener at 2 p.m., the Perpetual Help Altas starring league MVP Scottie Thompson, takes on the Lyceum Pirates while the St. Benilde Blazers battle the Letran Knights at 4 p.m.

Though the Altas lost three of their top players from last season in last year’s league-leading scorer Juneric Baloria, Harold Arbodela and Justine Alano, the wards of head coach Aric del Rosario showed that they were going to be just fine as they plowed through the Filoil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup before eventually losing in the playoffs.

In the second game, the Knights, with top wingman Kevin Racal back in their fold after recovering from ACL injury, will try to reclaim their elite status with help from former University of Southern Philippines Foundation center Jomari Sollano.
