THREE houses were damaged by fire in barangay Kalunasan, Cebu City yesterday morning.
The fire started in the house owned by Edgar Alesna.
SFO4 Jovito Abelgas said a lighted candle used to mark the 40th day of a relative’s death may have caused the fire. The fire broke out at 4:12 a.m. It was contained in eight minutes.
The fire spread to the houses of Ester Alesna and Liza Alesna. Ester sustained minor burns after she tried to save some belongings from her burning house.
Fire damage was pegged at P50,000.
