Products of CCSC grassroots win gold medals in Batang Pinoy tilt
ANOTHER set of Cebuano athletes who were products of the Cebu City Sports Commission’s (CCSC) grassroots program won gold medals in the Batang Pinoy Championships held last July 16 to 23 in Malolos, Bulacan.
The Muay Thai team of Cebu garnered 12 gold medals, 8 silvers, and 10 bronzes in the meet while the archery bagged one gold, one silver and two bronze medals.
Leading the list of winners in Muay Thai were Ken Caniga and Mary Grace Orbial, who bagged two gold medals each.
The other gold winners were Bea Kaye Labiste, Andre Lance Caniga, Ejevan Dave Colegado, John Nathaniel Gonzales, Richard Klyde Go, Jodi Marie Banzon, Buen Algono and Jeth Van Anthone Puao
In archery, Sebastian Alex Blanco won a gold while the girls’ team composed of Roselle Amamag, Chinney Garcia and Khalin Alyx Abella bagged a silver medal. The boys’ team of Christian Caresosa, Khalil Justine Abella and Nino Maandig won a bronze medal.
For the Olympic Round of archery, Christian Caresosa bagged a bronze medal.
